Titanic - Sparx

This mixtape has been my soundtrack since its release! On Titanic, the South Carolina State U student, Sparx shows all of his different sides, from his thoughts on his past relationships to his current outlook on college life and his perspective on various issues in society today. From the mellow, heartfelt sound of "Shawty Taught Me" (my favorite track on the mixtape) to the hardcore rap-feel of "All Ears Open", this mixtape has something for everyone! The mixtape features production by the likes of T.J Arrington, who produced one of my favorite songs on the mixtape, "Set Sail". Sparx also makes sure to give several shoutouts to his label "House Of Pharaohs" who seem like they are a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. Your itunes playlist is incomplete without this one. Enjoy!

Life Should Go On feat. Wale - Big Sean

G.O.O.D Music's Big Sean releases a new song featuring Maybach Music Group's Wale . No doubt that the lyricism in this song is on point but the beat is simple yet effective. The word that I think best describes the beat is "cheerful". It samples the melody of  Rainy Days & Mondays by The Carpenters. Enjoy!

My Heart Is Hers feat. Aisha Davis - Aidonia

It's #ThrowbackTuesday so why not. I love this song and I never truly appreciated it until my homie Trent asked me to play it. In my opinion, it's one of the best reggae/dancehall songs of all time. Aidonia's raw lyrics combined with Aisha Davis' on the hook makes this song amazing. Enjoy!

One of hip hop's most controversial artists drops a new single that has PETA going crazy over the first line. No doubt that this song is going to be on repeat for a while though! My one area of disappointment was the fact that this song didn't have the quality of production that I've come to expect from a Kanye West song. The content really makes up for it though! Enjoy!
